Nothing Fresh about the music @ 102.7 FM New York

The commercial TV campaign has been launched for a new station in New York. It caters to soccer moms who like vanilla, wallpaper rock. You know the music that doesn't offend anyone, and is on in most offices and elevators. Btw, New York already has one of these stations but apparently Lite Fm wasn't Fresh enough. The music is certainly not Fresh, but they get one Fresh point from me. The actress hired in the TV spot actually looks like a real mom, and not some pin-up, desperate housewife. I'm shocked that the executives in charge actually resisted using an unrealistic, barbie-like image of a mommy. Good for them.

Arcade Fire Tickets Review @ Judson Memorial Church

They released the tickets at 9am. I'm usually in the subway at 9am. So first off, I hated having to prepare ahead to get tickets. It's such an odd time. Aren't most people rushing to work already late? Next, two tickets at $29 each plus the convience fee of $10.50 came to $68.50. It's pricey for an indie rock show at a church. It goes against the very reason to use an unconvential venue. As far as the convience fee, if you prepared ahead and called a friend who has the misfortune of being the sap in work by 8am. The convience fee was worth every penny.
